March Meeting Recap

Hello, EWI San Diego!

Our March Chapter Meeting and Past Presidents Celebration at the Hot Spot in Liberty Station was quite a fun evening.  I hope those of you who were able to join us agree!

Our Past Presidents shared their most memorable moments and greatest accomplishments during their presidency.  It was great to hear the impact these amazing women have made within our Chapter and our communities.  Thank you for sharing with us.  And an even bigger thank you for serving in that capacity.  You are all very much appreciated.

The rest of the evening was spent crafting candles, painting mosaics, ceramics, or creating fairy gardens while enjoying each other’s company and noshing on yummy food and sipping refreshing beverages.

Vice President/President Elect, Darlene Banogon, of North Island Credit Union gave us an update on the Reading Rally and asked for more volunteers to read at the rally and/or help with new book donations (see her for more info) and then Fundraising Chair, Joy Malaise talked about the Spring-a-Palooza she will be hosting at her home on Saturday, April 6th and it is FREE to attend.  Bring a friend who would benefit from EWI membership, or anyone that has expressed interest, and come see what we are all about!

Special ThanksSecretary, Kathy Trombley, of Cush Enterprises for the evening’s poignant invocation; Courtesy Chair and Life Member, Anita Tindall, for announcing our guests and March birthdays and Programs Director, Colette Morel, of Manpower for going outside the box for this one, as well as the wonderful food from El Indio, the wine, and who can forget those scrumptious Caramel and Sea Salt Brownies!?

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the April Executive Appreciation Luncheon being held on the 16th at Ramada  Kearny Mesa where will get to honor all our Executives and hear from a very special speaker (will be announced ASAP – still being firmed up).
