February Meeting Recap
Hello, EWI San Diego!
For those of you who missed our February Chapter Meeting at the Four Points by Sheraton – San Diego Downtown, you were missed and you also missed out on a very informative evening full of insightful information about stress and what it does to our body, soul and mind! While it was a more intimate turnout this month, it was a success and I thank everyone who was able to join us.
Our guest speaker for the evening, Paula Kettula, LCSW, shared some terrific ways in which we can reduce, and even eliminate stress, from our lives. I think I speak for all of us when I say this was some much needed information and I plan to put some of her suggestions to use right away!
Our Business portion of the Meeting did not meet quorum, however, we carried out the meeting and received a vote in favor of approving the last business meeting minutes and making changes to the Chapter Standing Rules and agreed to receive the remaining votes needed for quorum via email. Those votes are still being calculated and will be final tallied on February 27, 2019, but at this time it appears we will be meeting a quorum and passing both items favorably.
Special Thanks: Advisor, April Hall, of Alliant Insurance for a delightful invocation of all the not-so-well-known February Holidays and Programs Director, Colette Morel, of Manpower for securing a breathtaking view for us while we got to hear from Paula.
Looking forward to seeing you all at the March Past Presidents and Chapter Meeting being held on the 19th at Hot Spot in Liberty Station (www.thehotspotstudio.com), where we will get to celebrate all the wonderful leaders of our Chapter and create some fun art together!
